I m thinking about moving to montreal currently from south jersey....would i be able to legally work there or?

would i be able to legally work there or have to be paid under the table?? Also are there many places that are hiring bartenders with no experience?? I am 23 by the way and have a car any info would help....thanks Bob

  1. You will need a work visa to work legally.  You might be able to find some under the table work though.

    If you are looking for a service industry job in Montreal I hope you speak French.

  3. you must have a work permit to work in Canada............being paid under the counter can get you and your employer in alot of trouble and you will be deported from Canada

  4. It's doubtful that you can find anyone who is prepared to hire you illegally here, for a bartending job for which you have no experience, without fluent French.

    Remember that anyone in the country without a work visa is not entitled to any services, such as health, and may have a problem renting anywhere to live (they ask for an employer's reference.0
