I m using samsung combo drive with octoedge since 9 to 10 month , it can play a cd vcd but cannot play a dvd .

have you tried all types of DVD..

some DVD are restricted for a region and your drive will not play them,...

dude some drives r faulty by manufacture i had the same problem with my sony drive try getting it repaired

oki the prob mite be ...

1. ur dvd playing codecs mite have corrupted .. try installing vlc player it comes with all the codecs and play the dvd

2. repair the drive cuz u have used it for just 9 mts ... it comes with a one year warranty ...
