I wouldn't use potting soil moss from outside. Frogs have very absorbent skin and that is how they retain moisture and stay hydrated, from their skin. If they are on the potting soil and there are any chemicals and fertilizers from outside, they will absorb them, and this could be toxic to them. Be safe, buy some from a pet store. Compressed coconut fiber works well.
