  1. I don't know for sure because I've never used sandpaper, but it would seem that it might be a bit rough on their feet pads.

I used indoor/outdoor carpeting & it worked really well. You can buy a small kitchen rug from a dollar store and cut it to fit your ramp.

  2. Sand paper is too rough for your piggies little feet. It would be okay to put a towel, extra fleece, or a rag over it. You can use the sandpaper for traction for the fabric sticking to the ramp, but not traction to help the piggies stick to it and able to walk on it. That would be like us crawling on sandpaper. Sick! lol

  3. if it is just on a ramp it is good, it will help file their nails!  but I dont know what coroplast is...

  4. Sandpaper shouldn't be too bad. I used popsicle sticks that you can buy from the craft store and glued them onto the Coroplast, and that worked fine. The only thing I worry about is if the guinea pigs chew up the sand paper.

If they begin to do that, please do not use the sandpaper, and resort to something else, such as my idea, or the fleece? I'm not sure that fleece has much traction..

  5. Put the fleece over the coroplast. It'll be easier for them to walk on and nicer on the paws than just walking on sandpaper.
