While driving eastbound tonight I made a right hand turn on a green light. The light was solid green. After making my right hand turn and passing under the camera I think the camera may have went off and taken my picture. Will I get a ticket? Does the flash go off or does the camera light just blink for one second.

Why would the camera take my picture while making a right turn on a solid green. This doesn't make sense.

This happened in the city of Los Angeles,California.

  1. I've had the redlight cameras to do that. We have 311 for issues such as this.. but write to your  department of transportation or mayor's counsel and let them know what's going on..If you get the ticket .. get a lawyer  and have him get the courts to prove the malfunction. Good luck!

  2. Big Brother is watching you.

  3. If they send you a picture along with a ticket, send them a picture of your money back.

  4. No you will be fine and dont worry, drive safe.

  5. no, the camaras were costing to much to keep up. there all are turn off,

  6. Maybe another vehicle triggered the camera? Where I live, the cameras not only photograph vehicles running red lights, they also photograph people speeding through the intersection on a green light.

  7. One time I got flashed while making the same turn but on red light, and there was no sign prohibiting such turns but it still flashed.

I never got a ticket and it's been a year and a half, in Hawthorne...  on rosecrans near 405.
