  1. I have solved a problem like this with a curry by adding yogurt - it is worth a try at least.

  2. Water won't help. Drink milk.

Try some sugar a little bit at a time. Brown usually adds a nice flavor.

    Not powdered sugar though.

If you have vinegar in it, more vinegar will tame it also. But will really change it if not already in it.

    Good luck.

  3. "Dilution is the solution to habenero pollution"

Puree cooked carrots and vinegar and add some of your hazmat sauce; maybe 10 parts carrot puree to 1 part firesauce.

Also, get a couple of big jugs of cheap sweet BBQ sauce. Make your own special sauce by mixing Hab sauce, BBQ sauce, yellow mustard, and some spices.Grill soem chicken leg quarters, then dip into sauce and let cook another 10 minutes to set the sauce-everyone will love it!

  4. Sour cream. Dairy is the one thing that will actually work to negate the heat. That's my suggestion for mexican cuisine. I know there are other cultures that use habenero too. But I'm not sure what kind of dairy you could use to compliment something like jamaican jerk.

  5. If its a red sauce you can add a can of tomato juice and some more water or if it's green sauce, you can boil and puree Tomatillos to add into it.

  6. I don't know if this will fit with your meal, but yogurt negates the spicy.

  7. In my opinion, sour cream is the greatest. It would also calm the hot. I would use it on any type food, but I know alot of people wouldn't. Good luck, though. :)

  8. Combination of sugar and either lime or lemon juice.

It wil certainly reduce the heat, but it wil alter the taste.

  9. add water to it. my wife make relly hot sauce whn she is mad at me.

  10. The best thing you can do is to dilute it.

Blend tomatoes, like 2 or threee, a quarter onion, two cloves of garlic, salt and a few sprigs of cilantro in a blender and cook the blended mix in hot oil for at least 15 minutes, until it turns dark red. This basic cooked salsa has no chile, so you can add spoonfuls of your habanero pepper sauce a little at a time, until you get the right amount of hotness your family is willing to tolerate. This cooked sauce also lasts longer, as opposed to salsa made with fresh ingredients.

When cooking with peppers, it is wise to be cautious. Peppers are sneaky and you can overdo it easily. I prefer to add a little at a time until I get it right.

  11. Dairy products are the only thing that quells the heat from peppers.

Water, tea, juice makes it worse cause it just spreads the fire. Make

a dessert that has sour cream, ice cream, whipped cream, etc. Serve milk with the meal.

Or, you can cut back on the habenero's when cooking, i'd suggest you do that anyway. I was given a whole plastic grocery bag full of "Habbies" so i diced them and put them in small zipper bags and froze them. When i needed some i'd pinch of a 1/2 tsp and add it to my entree.

When i made a pot full of chili, i used the equivalent of 1/2 tsp of them.

You have to be careful with them.
