  1. you bid on something now if you win

then you can go to paypal and then paypal will

give some choices how to pay for it

the primary way is first from your paypal account (if you have any funds there) then it goes to what ever you selected as your primary account

it  you chose your credit card as your primary account then withdraw

money out of there if you chose your bank account as your primary

    account paypal would go next

plus you can change it if you need (ie you dont have an enough in your checking account so you can chose other funding sources

    (then chose your credit card

paypal s has to know that you own or process that credit card or bank accent

they usually do that by deposit a small amount of money into

the bank account and then you check your online statements

to see what the amounts paypal deposited you tell pay pal

the correct amount thats the way their verify the account

  2. You have to add your credit card to pay pal in order to make purchases with out revealing your credit card details to the merchant. You just have to make payments through your pay pal account. The pay pal will process  your payment. And its a good way to receive money.Where you just have to give your email id. Its more safe for online purchases and receiving money

  3. Paypal is a virtual bank so every time you'll make a purchase, the amount will be deducted off your credit card when you click on Pay.

  4. You get verified to confirm that you are in fact the owner of the account.  It reassures sellers that you aren't scamming.  And I think the rules may have changed, but it used to be that if something went wrong, the seller would not be covered by PayPals seller protection policy if they shipped an item to an unverified address.

Some sellers may still refuse to ship to non-verified addresses, so if you intend to use PP on eBay, it's worth it, and it's free.

When you pay for things using PayPal, please take this tip:

NEVER pay with a PayPal balance, or bank transfer.  NEVER. In spite of what a seller or even PayPal may tell you, this cuts you off from the protection offered by your credit card company in the event something goes wrong.

It will always default to something else, so look for the little link on the PayPal payment screen to change payment options.  Go there and pick your credit card as both primary and backup funding source. Then click that you're sure that you still want to pay with a credit card.

If you sell something, and wind up with a PayPal balance, you must transfer it to your bank account before you can use credit as a payment option again.

Really. PayPal is a paper tiger compared to Visa or Master Card when it comes to sellers behaving poorly. Platinum cards have the best coverage, but check with your card company so you know what your limitations are.
