I made my own curtains and they are too short.....any ideas on how to make them longer?

i made curtains for my house and i made them too short but i was wondering if any one had any ideas as to how to make them seem longer or if i can add anything and it not look bad!

You can add a few things, don't add like lace, unless your room is lacey, I'd add some like beads, or a different color fabric that looks good with the curtains, and do a boarder at the bottom.

You could add fringe to it.  They have some that you can buy in a roll already made and all you have to do is attach it to the bottom.  You could also add lace to the bottom to make it longer.  You could attach coordinating ribbon or fabric to make it longer.  You could also try a combo of adding fabric and putting a row of fringe where the two fabrics meet to blend it in.  I think it would look really cool like that!

I would add a ruffle on the bottom. That works very well.

Add a border across the bottom in a contrasting color, it will look great.

You can also add a strip of beads if it is not too much length you need. You can glue those on.

Add a strip of contrasting colored fabric, or some fringed or lace trim to the bottom.
