I have been working at McDonald's for around a month and I am quitting because i start school in one week. I made my letter of resignation but since I am new and hardly know anyone I don't know who to give it to...

Also are they going to tell me why i am resigning the job( which it explains in the letter) or will they just read it and say that's fine

  1. The shift manager

  2. Give the letter to the person who hired you, or the GM of the McDonalds you work at

  3. It should be given to who you immediately report too.. they should understand school starting.. it's a normal issue with Micky d's.

  4. Give it to your manager and tell him/her that it is your formal letter of resignation.

  5. A letter of resignation might be a bit too formal for McDonalds, you might just tell ur supervisor/boss that you have to quit because of school, then hand him the letter.

To be nice, offer to work another day or two if they need it.

  6. you don't need a letter...you work at McDonalds! Just tell your boss school is starting and you're leaving, I'm sure he's heard it before

  7. i have to agree with mike on this......its just mcdonalds.....no letter needed

  8. Give it to your shift manager. I'm sure he/or she will be fine with it.

  9. First in your chain of command, who should be your shift manager.
