I made the volleyball team, but I have a nose ring, and we aren't allowed to wear jewelry. I got it recently enough so that if I take it out, the hole will close in an hour or less. Is there any clear retainer or trick to put in so I won't be "wearing" jewelry and I can put the jewelry back in after the game/practice?

  1. Well, my friend had the exact same problem except she had just gotten a cartilage piercing. What she did was used sport tape (the tape where you can tape wrists, fingers, ankles, etc.) and put the tape over her earring and piercing. The ref. never suspected a thing and my friend never had to take her earring out the whole entire season. the ref. just thought that she was taping over the piercing like a band-aid. The tape is cheap too. Just make a stop at any local drug store and pick a role of that tape. It should be under the band-aid and medical section.

  2. I HAVE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM!! my coach said take it out or dont play, so if you figure out an answer, let me know haha

  3. I have the exact same problem.

I made the volleyball team, and I have a nose ring.

All I did was go out and I bought a clear rubber/plastic nose ring.

    The refs never see it.

And ever my teammates never even notice it.

I love it, and I dont have to worry about the hole closing.

    :]

  4. I hear there are new rules that don't allow for the bandage trick.  Its a good measure too cause I'm sure even with a bandaid on it  it could still get ripped out.  and ouch  that would be very painful.  My advice is to get a flesh colored spacer.  They probably sell them at tattoo places or any other place where you would get something pierced.

  5. just put a bandaid over it or a little peice of sports tape
