Riddle #1

They flee the mouth with inherited confidence

They plant themselves in the brain of others

Twisting and gripping thoughts and ideas

Molding them with a father and son relationship

Working them until they bleed meaning

They gain confidence

They are no longer afraid to take the elevator

One last time to look at their destination

They stop to smell the scent of possibility

The bumpy, wet red carpet rolls out before them

They grab their friends and walk side by side

Seeing their reflection all around them

They see the light from an opening

They jump from the white rocks

Into a vast sea of hope
