  1. Kiwi has an enzyme in it that stops jelly from setting. You can't use it in anything that needs to set like jelly or icecream. Pineapple is the same.

    "The enzymes it contains makes it good for tenderising meat, but they'll also cause milk to curdle and will prevent gelatine and aspic from setting, so don't attempt kiwi ice cream or jelly."

  3. The acidity in the kiwi fruit would have stopped the jelly from setting. Try using summer fruits like strawberries, raspberries and grapes would also work well.

  4. Yeah the juices from the Kiwi fruit (same thing with pineapple) naturally stops the jelly setting. You need to add something (I forget what it is).

  5. There is something in kiwi fruit that prevents jellies setting, fresh pineapple has the same effect. Don't put kiwi fruit or fresh pineapple in jelly.
