I created an electronic mailing label through the USPS website, purchased delivery confirmation and used just regular postal mail. I mailed it about a week ago, and the package has not even been processed. It says on usps.com that the electronic shipping info has been received (the label I created) but nothing else. What gives??? I dropped it off with other packages, and the others are en route to delivery. Any one have any suggestions?

  2. Dalia, I would suggest you take the copy mailing label and purchase delivery confirmation - plus, any papers on insurance (if any) to the post office you took the packages and ask them to put a "tracer" on the package.  Don't forget the USPS receipts for each package you sent (each has a number, that's how you can put a tracer.  Check with the people you sent the packages to and find out if they have received them, some packages are sent on different carrier mode, (ground, or air) depending on where they are going and how fast you want it to get there.

I recently mailed some packages via UPS from California, ( where I was living) to Chicago and all packages were delivered except one, the only package I did not insured.  Package was lost, lost family pictures, university material and documents and framed art.

Lesson learned, don't send any thing (packages) via any carrier without insurance-over-insurance is good idea, it's cheap  and you can then replace lost items without much hassle from carrier.  Do the "tracer," good luck!
