I make 25 dollars an hour is that enough?

i make 25 dollars an hour and my gf makes 21 dollars an hour i am 19 and we went to get an apartment together i live in san jose do you think we both make enough to rent our own apartment or will it be tough?

By normal calculations, you are making 50,000 a year and she is making 42,000 and if you can't afford an apartment together, you need to move out of state.  If you spent 20% of your incomes on housing, that would be 18,400 a year or $1533 a month and most places (at least here in Dallas) you could get a VERY nice place for that.

both of you combined make well over enough to cover for rent and bills. I live in the bay area and pay rent for myself. I make half of what you guys make combined and I am paying rent and bills by myself and I still have money to put in my savings and pay for other expenses.

Since you're still young, I would suggest just getting a decent apartment, not too expensive, and just save the rest of the money and start looking into investing in your own property like a condo. It will be well worth it for you in the future.

Yeah, I agree with the Dallas guy. In Texas, that $ would be great depending on what you do.  I normally live in Houston, which is very cheap.  If I were you, I'd quit my job, have HER work 90 hours a week to make up the slack so I could play Xbox all day.   But thats just me....
