  1. You do not.  Depeding on which province you live in, cdn taxpayers earning less than $9000 a year generally do not have to pay income taxes.


  2. Your income tax is deducted from source. Generally if your income falls under a certain bracket, you will be entitled to a refund for what you have paid. Whether or not you fell under the tax bracket is determined at taxation time as an employer cannot estimate and say he/she won't earn enough so we won't take taxes. Everyone's income unless they are self employed is deducted at source.

  3. generally you won't have to pay taxes in this case. but if somebody is claiming you as a dependent you will be paying taxes on difference between $6240 and $5150.

  4. the basic exemption credit for 2007/2008 = 10600 therefore, no tax payable.

    however you still have to file a return and you will get a refund for the fed/prov taxes paid in the fiscal year
