  1. marry someone who has health insurance...look for a job that gives you health insurance....or just don't get sick enough to need a doctor.

ask your employer o help you out maybe....ask for a 100 negative raise.

this is the american system....there's not much you can do..sorry to tell you that.

  2. Walk around and pat those poor illegal immigrants on the back and say "thank you", for driving up insurance rates.

  3. I'm so so so so sorry! I understand your predicament. I am a graduate student in public health and this is one issue that is popular. Making too much for medicaid, but not enough for real insurance!

Have you thought about going with a deductible plan? Lower premiums per month, but higher office visits when you do go? Blue Shield and Kaiser both offer these. Try calling a member services department and explain your situation!

  4. im not sure about other states, but in Ga we have something called peachcare.  You might want to check with human resources to see if there is some sort of option like this for you.  It's just affordable insurance for people who have a low income and it's usually extremely cheap.
