Question:

I may be hallucinating but doesn't this pic prove Cavic clearly beat Phelps to the wall in the 100m butterfly?

  1. phelps won. get over it.

why can't you all just be happy for him?

and that extra stroke, i do believe, is what made Phelps touch the wall first. Cavic glided towards it (as someone mentioned before) and that gliding action slowed down his touch as there was much water resistance.

  2. Even if it appears that way, the olympic swimming events all use electronic touchpads to determine the winner. So even if it looks like Cavic touched first, based on the electronic touchpad, Phelps beat him by a hundreth of a second.

    =]

  3. I don't no anything anymore, from all the pics human eye can only see that Cavic was the first one who physically reached the end, but talking about those sensors, I really have no clue how relevant may be the result of 1/10.000 sec faster by the clock and that explanation that wave following his last stroke triggered the sensors before Cavic's touch is just beyond my comprehension. I think that the only fair solution would have been if the two had divided the gold medal position. You just can't make a clear margin there

  4. this pic doesnt prove anything because his hands arent physically on the wall yet

  5. You know i was cheering Phelps all the way at first when the race started but i had to admit that he just didnt win that one.In all fair-ness i personaly believe that he couldnt have clocked that time that he was said to have clocked because it was obvious to >1.5 billion viewers that Cavic made it to the end before him and i believe that was an electronic malfunction. I personally think some thing is wrong with those timers in China!! Quite a number of world records have been knocked off,is it the suit?

I had to wonder if nasa had some relation in making those suits.

I also wonder if there was some thing on Phelps that triggered the clock cause clearly it wasnt his hands as he didnt reach. Even his mom was shocked!Even him!

When i saw the numerous replays it was evident to every1 that CAVIC won.I say give him the medal even if the clock didnt recongnise him ,we humans who made those same clocks saw with our very eyes that Cavic finished first.Visit this cool site also http://www.freecreditcardnumber.blogspot...

  6. PHELPS LOST

    BUT HIS SPONSOR NEEDS MONEY

MAYBE OMEGA WANTS PHELPS TO BE ITS BRAND AMBASSADOR

THAT IS WHY THEY ARE NOT RELEASING THE VIDEO FROM THE UNDERWATER CAMERA

  7. I thought he lost even after seeing the replays about 7 times, but then they showed the ultra slow motion replay from the underwater camera and he did indeed touch first.  It was unbelievably close.  I kind of feel bad for the Serbian guy (even though it is his fault for gliding to the end).  I think they should give them both a gold.

  8. No... Cavic wasnt even at the wall yet.. the extra stroke that Phelps did allowed him to push himself faster to the wall.. if he would of glided.. he for sure would of gotten 2nd. Could thing he decided to do an extra stroke.. they even wen to the super fast camera and reviewed them.. so Phelps totally got there .01 seconds faster! Amazing!!! Go Phelps!!

  9. he!! no! phelps beat cavic by 1- one hundreth of a second! it was incredible!

oh yeah im a michael phelps fanatic =]]]]
