  1. Early in your pregnancy it's advised to avoid caffeine. It's thought to attribute to miscarriage.

I'm a cokeaholic, but gave it up entirely for the first 5 months. I'm almost 9 months now and drink it in moderation. Same with chocolate.

A couple of cans a day is ok. And so is a bar of chocolate. I don't drink coffee, but a mug a day would be fine. All this later in the pregnancy though.

  2. In moderation is the suggestion.  A lot of caffeine isn't good for anyone...pregnant or not.

  3. I have two kids.  With my first, I never drank caffeine but always ate chocolate.  With my 2nd, I allowed myself to drink soda and coffee on occasion which usually was 2-3 times a week.  I can't omit chocolate because I'm a chocoholic!!!  They say 1-2 cups of caffeine a day is fine.  Everything in moderation.  Good luck!

  4. You should try to limit any food that isn't good for you but caffeine won't do you any harm in small doses. Try to avoid coffee even more so as the caffeine levels are so high.

  5. Its probably ok in moderation. I had all of the above when I was preg every now and then. Try to have decaf coffee instead and coke zero.

  6. coffee and coke BIG NO NO.... chocolate indulge

  7. I drank Coke & ate Chocolate when I was pregnant! (within moderation, because it's hard to lose the excessive weight now - sad).

I'm not a coffee drinker. But if you're concerned you can talk with your doctor. Good luck~

  8. Only a little no-no. It's recommended to cut down on caffeine during pregnancy to the equivalent of about two cups of coffee a day, or 4 or 5 cans of cola (not diet cola though because artificial sweeteners are a no-no) or a whole lot of chocolate. More than that increases your chance of miscarriage.

The website I've given as a source has a really good guide to caffeine in pregnancy, why it's best to cut down, and how much is in different products.
