  1. It's ok.  Nothing more to say about it other than that!  It's not the prettiest place but it's not the dump that it is often made out to be.

  2. yes it's very beauty place.

  3. c**p hole

  4. It is near Leeds - but Leeds is far, far nicer. Outskirts of Bradford are not bad, city centre is awful - full of pound shops!

If you are buying a house, and can afford it, I'd live in Leeds and commute to Bradford - although Bradford houses are quite a lot cheaper. I might get the thumbs down from some Bradfordians, but hey, you asked.

  5. I found people relaxed, open and friendly. There is good access  to Motorways. Going out for a curry in Bradford is an experience not to be missed. There is a real buzz about Leeds and so far as shopping is concerned, you'll find whatever you're looking for. As for the surrounding area, it really is most diverse, maybe not a top tourist magnet but get under the skin and you'll prefer it to much of the annoymous  metroland development further South. On the downside, it may be difficult to find Quiche if you are a Southerner, best not even mention the word!

  6. Bradford is a very multicultural city with much diversity. The city centre is currently under a massive redevelopment scheme to pull down the 70's buildings and replace them with new ones more fitting with the existing wonderful victorian buildings (Bradford was one of the richest cities in the world in victorian times). It is in a perfect location for access to the moors and the dales with really good transport links.

There's restaurants that cater for cuisine from many countries in the world and it certainly has the finest Indian and Pakistani eateries in the country.

It has a vibrant night life with many pubs and clubs in the city centre. Leeds nightlife is only 9 miles from Bradford with suitable transport links.

I wouldn't say it has any more anti-social issues than any other city in the county.

I've lived here most of my life and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

  7. Bradford is okay, its much nicer on the outskirts than in Bradford city centre, it has a fairly good shopping centre and the nightlife is okayish, houses are cheaper in the Bradford area than in some parts of the country.

  8. I grew up on the outskirts of Bradford.  It's not as grim as southerners think!  The shopping is quite good, it's not a long train journey if you want to go to big cities like Leeds or Manchester.  If the countryside is more your thing then you're close to the moors and the Dales, and upmarket spa towns like Harrogate and Ilkley.  There are good rail links to London from Leeds (approx 2 hours) and a growing number of holiday destinations available from Leeds/Bradford airport.

Whippets, flat caps and clogs are no longer compulsory.  And despite what the citizens of Birmingham or Brick Lane in London will tell you, some of the best curry houses in Britain can be found in Bradford.
