I may be traveling to Townsville soon--can any residents/neighbors give me any insider tips on the place?

kayah seems to know the way around.

I know Castle Hill lookout is beautiful.

There is markiets in the city on the week ends.

If you go on a boat ride, keep your lets and arms in the boat - this is crocodile country

and it you go fishing you may catch a big marlon either in a boat or at a pub.

YES! Townsville Australia.

I studied abroad at JCU Townsville.

Go to the strand (everything is there) Restraunts, bars, and the beach is beautiful. You can take the 20 minute fairy to Maggie Island (Magnetic Island: please visit there!!)

Townsville isn't that big, if you say the strand, everyone will know what you are talking about because you can literally walk all of it!

Restraunts: Cactus Jacks (and Margaritas)!

                    That's Pizza (=Yum!)

Bars: Flynns, Molly's, Mad Cow, The Cry, the Consortium, The Bank...

Climb Castle Hill, wondfull view. Go to Aquarium HQ, has the largest living reef in a aquarium! There are a lot of souvenire shops, and there are outside markets during some days of the week.

The Strand, is the beach, there is really one beach! unless you go to Maggie, then I recommend Rocky Beach! So beautiful!!!

Watch out for the stingers!
