I may deny GW, but why do believers deny Al Gore?

Whenever someone brings up Al Gore, all the believers state that all Al Gore was a messenger and his statements and actions are not part of the GW culture.

The point many people make is that Al Gore is not a scientist, so if he does something wrong it doesn't mean human-caused Global Warming isn't happening.

Look folks-- he got the Nobel Prize-- he openly published his movie INTERNATIONALLY----- he is also a former politician-

This means he is fair game for critical review.

Because "he" invented the internet.  If he is smart enough to do that, he is obviously smart enough to know about everything else.

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I believe many find it offensive when we are talking about SCIENCE and skeptics insist on referring to the concept of AGW as a religion or in this case, a culture.

I for one, never saw "An Inconvenient Truth" nor do I plan to.  I think the movie was great in that it increased publlic awareness of the issue.  However, when I want to learn about and discuss the science of AGW, I think Al Gore is absolutely irrelevant.

Al Gore is a hypocrite. I don't think he is different from anyone of us. He actually pollutes a lot more than most people because he uses private planes to get everywhere. He is doing a good job on informing people about GW but he could start with changing his own actions before changing those of others.

Because so many people use Al Gore as reasoning that global warming is not happening. How many times on here do you here  deniers say something like "Al Gore flies everywhere in a private jet and uses more electricity in his house than a hundred ordinary homes."?  The thing is that the truth of global warming has nothing to do with that.  We know global warming is happening because of the data from thousands of scientific papers.  

Al Gore saying it's true doesn't make it true--but it doesn't make it false, either.

he can be easily attacked by humors and other jokes. famous icons were always observed in order to look for news that can push them to controversy. the situation of Al gore is like that.

Because he highlights the lack of science and hypocrisy behind the scam and that embarrasses them.  I would be ashamed too.
