I may need a new starter but where can I get someone too put it on for me at a good price?

I have toyoda corolla 94 and when I try to start it it makes a click.

  1. The starter only clicking usually means your battery is too low to turn the starter - have your battery checked at a parts place before you replace the starter.

    That said, if the starter is truly dead, replacing them is usually pretty simple.  You'll need to get the front of the car in the air so you can get to the existing starter.  Most are held on with just a couple of bolts.  Undo those bolts and the electrical connection and there you are, one starter removed.  Putting the new one on is just as simple.  If it takes you more than an hour, you stopped in the middle for a potty break.


  2. it does,nt have to be the starter. it could be the terminals dirty or loose or a bad ground cable, but if your wanting a starter, auto zone or advance sells them.

  3. There are a lot of things that could be wrong.  Don't assume it's the starter.

    You need to find a good mechanic, which means someone close to you, which means ask people around you, not on the Internet!!!
