  1. Go to www.prospectzone.com and register for quotes.  If they are too much, contact your county for assistance.

  2. There are several options available to someone in your situation.  The first and maybe most obvious is to find a job that offers health insurance benefits.  Many employers now offer health insurance for part-time workers.  This can be a great way for single parents to help take care of their children.  If that is absolutely not an option, most states provide some sort of health insurance for children specifically.  I don't know where you're at, but for example the state of Colorado has S-Chip:

If you search in yahoo/google/etc for your state childrens health insurance, you will most likely find the answer your are looking for!

  3. Ever heard of CHIPs ? Childrens Health Ins. Program offered by the state. Call your county health dept. and ask. Some fall between the cracks of poor and the working poor and it may include your family. I hope this helps you.

  4. you can opt for LIC health plus in which you will get health insurance for your family in a single policy for detail log on to www.licindia.com or mail your query to bistanil@yahoo.com

  5. medicaid has a program called QMB..Quailified medical benefits... they never tell you about it. But every three months you fill out an application and if you quailfy then medicaid pays the last three months. You may not be covered by regular medicaid but your kids should be till 19 yrs if still in school.
