I meditate a lot..............?

I meditate because it helps me focus, calms me, and can help me sort through delemmas. Before I meditate, I pray that God will guide me through my meditation to the truth of the topic I'm meditation on. I wonder if meditation, particularly in this fashion, is considered a bad thing? I don't think it is, especially since it helps me recognize His voice in my life, but I realized that many pagan religions meditate as part of their religion, and its worrying me?

  1. Meditation is only about bringing the mind peace

  2. Other religions also have representations/symbols of their god/s, does that make your crucifix bad?

  3. True meditation is the absence of thought. therefore when in this heightened state of mind one is closer to god.

try Modern Magick by D M Kraig, then practice it before making any judgments upon anothers spirituality.

Yes, beloved! It is good for you to meditate, even Solomon in the Bible (book or library) says "meditate upon every word" of god.

When one gets rid of or sublimates the false ego-ic self the True Self can shine through, therefore & thereby ones god or goddess manifests.

God the Goddess bless us all. amen

  4. Call it what you like but;

Did God not say "be still and know that I am God"?

  5. It's fine if it works for you.

but i would like to say what I've heard.

Meditation can be very passive, and it lowers your inner vibrations.

and sometimes below where you want it.

You don't want to listen to music after meditating and feel in tuned with the slow kids version of "hot cross buns"

sounds like you might be contemplating more, if you ask me.

like if you're just sitting and singing hu- i mean, humming about..well,....

I've heard it's better to contemplate on your love for God, or your inner guide or light with color of your choice that represents God to you...so that you're more active on the "tuning in"

sounds like you might already be around there though

  6. No!  Meditation is good for your mind and body.  I know a lot of people

who believe in one God and they still meditate.  I do.  I think it's one

of the best things you can do for yourself, and personally I think it

really brings you closer to God.

            Hope this helps!

  7. meditation in the sense you are speaking of sounds like praying deeply. and even though its a part of other religions, that doesn't make it wrong for your religion.
