The attempt to define all mystical, transcendental and ecstatic experiences that do not fit in with the categories of concensus reality as psychotic is conceptually limiting and comes from a timidity which is not seemly for the honest, openminded explorer.

I love the way the syllable rich words roll off my tongue. When I eventually reallized its message I loved it even more.

  2. Don't know the quote.  I take it that you've googled at least parts of it.

The reason I've answered is that I don't agree with it, in part at least.

Is the author saying that there are some things metaphysical that are beyond description, so we shouldn't try?

Of course we should try.  We should try in all fields of human endeavour, shouldn't we?

Or have I missed the point?

You can email me, if you like.  It's on my profile.

Thanks for the Q.  Good one.

  3. i googled it and got this question and a link to the telegraph's site in an article about a new theory of everything. after reading the article for 35mins, cos it was one of those comment blog things, i found it...and it was merely quoted but not sourced. as homer would say, what a gip.  it's annoying me now too

  4. Sounds like something from "The G.O.D. Experiment"  by Gary Schwartz.
