Hey, uh, Kim. Yea I don't think you should go out at all. Online dating is very dangerous. But, if you insist on going, I would go out to a place where you two could do something really fun. Like to the roller rank, a nearby amusement park, well you get the idea. Active dates are always more relaxing and give you more to talk about. If that does not work, go out to eat, but somewhere where there are quiet a few people. Quiet places on the first date can be very awkward and are not as safe.

I strongly recommend you meet at a busy public place, each using their own transportation. A restaurant, coffee house, or nice bar and grille might be a good choice. He's probably perfectly nice, but safety first. You'll know pretty quick if he's okay or weird in ways that don't show online.

I agree with not going out. I don't know your age but on-line dating is very dangerous and It could be a child molester, rapist or murderer trying to real you in as bait. If you do decide to go,you need to inform someone where you will be going and to make sure you take your cell phone with you. Stay Safe!
