This is just my opinion, but one needs to be very careful about meeting someone of a third world country.  They have nothing and think everyone from the west is rich and they want out very much.  If it were me, I wouldn't be able to trust if it was me they liked or my citizenship.  I just don't think it's worth the chance.  I'm sure she seems lovely, but some will say anything for a chance to get out.  Sorry if I've offended anyone, but this is what I've seen from living in three different countries and doing extensive traveling.

Audi above gives some good advice ..

  for what it is worth mate; consider my being a white african of some merit in terms of advice and then remember that they are being BOMBARDED with American , etcetra ideas of materialism and also in the vortex of Urbanising::  so hence the 'baiting' (often - often too often!) of blokes , could be you ... maybe not.. so that you send say "$50" ,..then whoever has got an idea: adjusts her sights, and as "Hunter" aims for the say, maybe ten times that!!

Now, I'm probably 100% wrong..  But there are hordes in these internet cafe's ..  one poor guy (from USA) thought he was marrying this Ghanaian girl, right...came over.. she jilted him after taking loads of cash on the premise it was to arrange for the wedding and he gets to Accra and waits..and waits ... By the next day at airport guy calls cops; they find girl  AND her fiance' who is in on the scam!!  Ouch!!  

   I get this story from a reliable source -- but you met her in person, right..? Hmm.. other side of Africa.. just compare the GDP ' s .. by the way: do you know Swahili<??> any of the culture<?>  ((not being 'funny; but it helps, in a positive way))
