I met this guy. He said he was divorced. We went on one date. His ex is sending me emails. What should i do?

We hit it off immediatly. The first day we met he gave me a dozen purple roses. We went on one date and I didn't hear from him for a month. When he finally called he said his ex threatend to withhold money from a house they sold because he was "seeing" me. She sent me a message saying he had never filed for divorce. I don't know who she is but apparently she has a friend who knows me. I WOULD NEVER GO AFTER A MARRIED MAN. Why would she send me an email?

She sent you an email because she's upset her husband/boyfriend is cheating on her.  Stay away from him - luckily you found out he's not really single before you became emoationally/physically invloved.

Unfortunately, I hate to say this, as married people when things are not going well, they tend to step out and explore other people, but I'm afraid he lied to you.  He's not divorced, nor is he seperated.  He's obviously having marital issues which could certainly lead to a divorce, but it sounds like his wife (that he referred to as an ex) is still very much in love or still committed to him.  Be very careful.  Back off for your own sake.  You don't want to get in the middle, nor get hurt.  There are plenty of other good men out there for you.

I am in the same boat as your "honey's" wife...

We are still very, very married... but won't be for long!

My hubby is having emotional relationships with half the women on yahoo answers... tells them he's getting divorced, or that he's single. I can see straight-away that the women my hubby is in contact with believe he is truly single... he's duping them...

Apply this course of thinking to your circumstances.Obviously, my husband doesn't know / realize that I know what a lying, cheating b*****d he really is... it will be quite the shock to him when the process server hands him the filing.

Be glad she contacted you... she's trying to warn you away from this loser... do you really want someone who's an unfaithful cheat?  Aren't you worth more than that?

And my situation?  I just don't share well with others...

maybe this guy isnt divorced..maybe hes cheating on her and she found out...

i would play it smart and have him show you proof that hes divorced before your relationship goes any further...

with him disappearing for a month after your first date and you didnt hear from him then i would b suspicious...

to me he sounds like a married man that is cheating on his wife..(i could b wrong tho)

look his a$$ up on public records. a divorce is a matter of record legally - if he is divorced then it will be there. If he only FILED, though, then HE IS STILL LEGALLY MARRIED. And i find it suspect that she can withhold money from a house they SOLD already. and also, unless she has access to his computer, how did she find your email address?

Time to confront him and tell him you want the total truth or hit the street. He will either continue to lie or will tell you the truth which is probably hes about to file for divorce but hasnt yet so the reason why the emails. Someone is lying here or youre dealing with a scourned ex spouse who wants revenge but you need to find out the truth before moving forward. Trust your gut instincts here and not your heart
