I might be going to the PGA Championship on Friday: What is the dress code?

1) What is the dress code?

2) I have 2 passes to an enclosed air conditioned tent area. Supposedly it is like a private party type thing with free food and drinks. Will there be alcoholic beverages at this type of event? They seem to be a little strict (no cell phones/cameras)

Depends on what company is sponsoring (regarding booze).

A pair of chinos and a polo shirt should be quite fine, dress code.

The cell phone ban is common at golf tournaments.  Phone goes off while some guy is in the middle of his swing, and it could likely distract him.

yea. not much dress code. jeans, anything is ok as long as you wear SOMETHING.  you can't go shirtless or anything.  i remember seeing a few beers around.  and yea, don't bring phones/cameras. it brings complications cause you have to drop it off somewhere and then reclaim it later. pain in the butt...

Bermuda length shorts are OK. No tank tops or jeans.

Alcohol will be flowing!
