  1. you just asked the same question on the garter snake, why dont you just go to google.com and type in green snake info. and it will bring up any information you need!

  2. 1. They eat crickets and meal worms, every other day. 2. They will get around 24-36 inches, sometimes bigger. 3. No, not really. Mine bit me once because I had her right in my face and I must've breathed on her. (And don't worry about the bite - it tickles!)

    4. They are not venomous. 5.  I've had 2, and they are really fun to own. They like to be handled, but the also like to explore, so they want to go everywhere. Both mine died though. One of them just stopped eating, and the other squished his own head... But I'm sure those were just freak accedents (plus I was 12). I really liked them for the time I had them though. 6. You can find them at Petco. Here is a care sheet that will tell you help you a little more - http://herphavenreptilerescue.org/RoughG... I hope this helps you to create a good environment for your snake.

  3. These are relatively small slender snakes 2-4 feet.

These snakes rarely ever bite and they are not venomous.

These are wonderful little snakes, quite active and docile.

Though crickets will make up the majority of their diet, rough scaled green snakes eat a verity of insects, earth worms, lizards, amphibians, and small rodents(pinkies) as well.

Being arboreal - a tall instead of wide enclosure is preferred but a stand 10-20 gallon aquarium / vivarium is fine. When I kept these snakes,I had no problem from keeping the humidity at 50%-60% but some suggest higher. Using a waterfall or bubble stone will provide more than adequate humidity and should eliminates the need to mist. Like most snakes you want a hide box ( I used a small old clay plant pot broke in half). Providing lots of cover and climbing area with fake plants is a wonderful addition. You can create live plant vivs for these snakes as they are small bodied. There are a verity of substrates you can use- alfalfa pellets, coconut fiber/husk, potting soil ( without perlite), moss, aspen and cypress shaving/mulch/bark, repta-bark products, outdoor/reptile carpeting.

An UVB light source is a MUST with these snakes. A 2.0 or 5.0 fluorescent tube,a full spectrum plant & aquarium fluorescent tube can be used with this to create a better color viewing index. A standard 50-75 watt bulb should provide adequate heat as well as the basking spot. Heat pads can of course be used alone or with a light. Be sure that the snake can not come in contact with any hot surfaces and to use a thermoregulator to control temperatures.
