  1. You are not 19, you liar.  Grow up.

  2. 2 years with a boyfriend at the age 19  isn't old enough to know better.  People are still growing up and changing.  Wait to have a child and establish a career, it's hard to raise a kid when you have no money.  Enjoy and live your life as much as you can before bringing in a baby.

In the meantime, keep a list of your favorite all time baby names.  It will be fun to look back at it 5 years later.

  3. I think if you still watch Hanna Montana, then having a baby should be the last thing on your life's to do list. seriously, and you think that's normal? anywho, the name kinda sucks, so after you graduate college, have a steady job, then think about having a kid! Good luck!!!

  4. oh my gosh. please don't.  neither one.  better finish your school and get a good job to pay for it.  then in 5years, you won't be asking such silly questions and you'll at least be married first.  now crack those books.

  5. i wouldnt name it miley. well if it is a girl i would name it olivia. have you thought of it being a boy?

  6. It might be a good idea to wait until you know if it's a boy or girl first. The only Miley I know of is Miley Cyrus also known as Destiny Hope Cyrus daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus who nicknamed her Smiley which was shortened to Miley and the name stuck                                                                                               The meaning of your child's name probably won't greatly affect his or her life, but may help you to make a decision between your favorites.

Before choosing a name with a unique pronunciation or spelling keep in mind that your child will spend his or her lifetime explaining to others how the name is really spelled or pronounced. No one likes having their name constantly misspelled or mispronounced that's for sure.

Check the Initials. Once you have an idea for the baby's name, always check the initials! While the full name may sound pretty, the initials may bring some surprise! Imagine the feeling of a child who grows up and realizes that their initials are: "N.I.L.", "Z.I.P." or "P.I.G." In order to avoid such embarrassment for the child, check the initials before you make your decision. You will be glad you did!

Check the nicknames or shortened forms of your child's name. Many names are shortened to nicknames during childhood, or other stages of life, so be sure to avoid baby names that might produce insulting nicknames when people shorten them. If you name your baby Richard, then expect him to be called also Rick. If you don't like this nickname, you may also reconsider your decision.

Unusual names are hard to remember at first, but once remembered usually stick to memory much better. An unconventional name will make a wonderful conversation starter, especially if there is an interesting story behind it. You can feel free to be as creative and meaningful as possible with a middle name, because your child only has to reveal it when he feels comfortable. They may adore their middle name and tell everyone about it or they may hate it, but they never have to use it!

Popular or common names are normal and "safe", but sometimes they are easily forgotten, especially when you meet a lot of people all at once. However, a child with a popular name may be perceived better by society than a child with a unique name. But keep in mind that we love people because of who they are, not because of their name. Many of your friends have common first names, but have you ever considered them boring or average because of it?

Unisex names like Chris, may make it easier for you to choose your child's name before you know their s*x, but it can be unfair and psychologically harmful to a child, especially to boys who may feel more insulted when presumed to be girls. However unisex names are another trend that is gaining steam these days.

How it sounds? It's a good idea to recite your choices out loud. The full name should be sweet to the ears with no harshness. Saying it out loud and using it in common sentences will give you a better idea of how much you really like the name. Don't forget, some names look great when written on paper, but sound terrible off the tongue.

You can also get some great ideas from popular names in other countries. Get some inspiration from the top names in Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales, Australia or Canada.

Celebrity names are really in fashion, you may consider these too, or if you still not happy with the choices available you could even make up your own baby names! It's easy to come up with original names. You can freely combine two names that you really like. For example if you like Laci and Ana, you could form Laciana. If you really like Sarah and Beth, you could combine them to form Sarah-Beth.

Make sure you don't choose a name that ends with the same letter your last name begins with. This can end up being a tongue twister and cause some teasing too.

Remember that the other parent and your family will also have opinions about baby names, so it is a good idea to consider their opinions too. It is impossible to make everyone happy but we advise being respectful of your partner's feelings. However, keep in mind that that there is an easy solution: you can always use two names, using one as a middle name!

Make sure that the name you choose is one that your child will be able to grow up with. Keep in mind that it should be applicable for all ages. You shouldn't pick a name that's really cute for an adorable little baby but will sound silly when the baby grows up.

Choose the names that you are most passionate about and make a favorites list as concise as possible. Have friends and family rate the names you choose. You can easily print out these surveys on paper or send by email. It's not a bad idea to see what people around you think. But you should pick a name because you love it, not because of what everybody else thinks of it.

A person's name is truly a lifetime gift, and it helps define your child - within the fami

  7. Why wouldn't you want your child to have her own name?  Two Gwens under the same roof would be kind of confusing, and you will inevitably end up being called "Big Gwen and Little Gwen" or worse, "Young Gwen and Old Gwen."

Use it as a middle name if you must, but give her a name of her own.  Besides, you could end up having a boy.

And certainly not "Miley."  Are you sure you're 19 years old?  I don't know of anyone over the age of 12 who likes "Hannah Montana."

    ETA:  She's 13.

EDIT (To OP):  Look, you already admitted in another post that you are thirteen.  Nineteen year olds don't think that MIley Cyrus is the "best TV star ever."  As far as your claims that you are"finishing college at the best college in the world and will have a great job," even at 19, that would be very unlikely to be the case.  Besides, if you were bright enough to be attending the "best college in the world," you would know enough to now say things like "me and my BF."

I think it's past your bedtime.  It's a school night.

  9. Oh, you want to have a baby at 14? Because your profile says you're 13.

  10. Don't name it after you. Give the baby his/her own name so they can form their own identity. It's selfish and a bit narcissistic to name a child the same as you.
