I might sound silly but do grand canyon tours run throughout the year like in early Dec&wat weather like then?

im stayin in Flagstaff and the hostel says it does tours but dont know wheter theyl be doing tours in Dec.

Also travelling by public transport to flagstaff from L.A any cheap and cheerful ideas lol

The tour they are talking about is likely driving you up to the South Rim of the Canyon and stopping the lookouts and visitor centers.  The park is open year round.  Occasionally a storm closes the road for part of a day, but odds are good that you won't hit one of those.  If there is weather, don't despair.  The Canyon incredibly beautiful when there is snow.  You won't be hiking in below the rim during the Winter months, unless you are into snow shoes and such.  

Travel options from Flag to LA are train, and bus.  Flying out of their airport is expensive.  No clue what train and bus rates now are with current gas prices, but they are probably the cheapest options.
