want to make it pro. I haven't told anybody of this yet, because of how they would ridcule me on my impractical goal and tell me to go study 4-8 hours like I usually do.

I weigh 149 pounds, can bench 165, squat around 225, and run a 6-flat mile. I'm 14 cracking 15 pretty soon. What should I do to reach my utopian goal?

Please, if you wouldn't like somebody to say something to you, don't say to me.

What should I do to prepare for the boxing gym?

Thanks in advance.

  1. like I say to all the people who want to be in the olympics I dont think that you can make it to the olympics in such a short period of time 4 years.I know people who have been boxingfor 8-9 years and they still have tons of training if they ever want to be in the olympics.remember boxing may seem easy at first until you step into the ring and get punches lodged in your head.some people dont even last four years as a boxer.its a long hard process no matter how bad you want it.

  2. continue to run learn hand eye coordination get your breathing right and learn to defend and be elusive. do these things and you will be more then halfway there.

  3. All that working out means nothing if you can't take a punch.

Join a gym and find out.  Don't expect to climb Mount Everest until you actually learn mountain climbing.

Less talk, more fight.  Find a club/gym and sign up.

  4. it will take everything in you and a good trainer

  5. Do nothing to prepare for the boxing gym, save for running.  Start running so you can work up to 40 miles per week.

Other than that, find a good local gym, and get in the ring.  Your coach will introduce you to the different aspects of your workout regimen and give you pointers on how to maximize your training.

If this is something you really want then do it.  But remember, it will take more devotion and discipline than anything you have ever done in your life until now.  You have to commit the next 3 1/2 years of your life to nothing but training.

The best of luck to you.

  6. eat right foods jog daily, make sure you got lots of stamina and train train train train start competeing

  7. d**n, How long you been working out??? if none of this is exagerated the your good to go, but the bad news is by the time your like 16, or 18(when the next olympics come by), youll be weighing around your 180's cuz your gonna get taller so your going to be in a weight class with experienced fighters...
