Question:

I miss being a nerd!?

I was a bit uptight a couple years ago! Always planning, scheduling, post-it noting, putting dignity in my hard work.

Lately as I got older, I decided to loosen up. I used to have serious anxiety over schoolwork. Now I do everything at the last minute. Now I don't even mind if I get one bad grade. My grades still matter though...

I need to be in the middle somewhere. Somewhere between uptight and loose. I went from freak to lazy bum. I was somebody...

is it normal for a teen? i mean how i was uptight BEFORE puberty. now im too loose...and i have trouble forcing myself to change...

  1. yeah i use to be like that; from 3rd grade-6th grade i would always get honor roll. now im lucky if i even get honorable mention! puberty sucks! i keep trying to go back to the way i was but its hard

  2. That happened to me in 7th grade.  When I was a lot younger, I freaked out over school work and I always turned things in days early and wrote things down and made my mom check them before I turned them in.  In 7th grade, I realized that it really didn't matter and I could get all A's without even trying or doing my homework.  So I stopped studying, and started turning things in late.  That worked fine for 7th grade (I had all A's to prove it), but I realized that this wasn't going to cut it for eighth grade.  That year, my grades could get me high school scholarships and awards and stuff, so my new school year resolution was to turn in everything on time and to study.  Everything worked out for me that way, because 7th grade loosened me up a little and my resolution made me determined, but I stopped freaking out about things.
