There will Never Be Another Like Him. Dale Earnhardt is a True Legend,Legacy, and the Greatest Driver Whoever Lived. Dale had a true way about him he had guts to take people out and rattle their cages and that's when he earned the name the Intimidator and the King of Restrictor Plates. He is the all time Restrictor Plate Racer and Dale Jr is Great on Restrictor Plate Tracks. But Dale Earnhardt will never be replaced and they are really big shoes to fill. We Really lost a True Racecar Driver That Day on the Last Lap of the Daytona 500 on 2/18/01 that's the day the Music Died. I miss the #3 but Dale Jr is doing very well is getting a little Intimidating in some races but he's getting there.  As We All Know We Weren't Ready to lose a True Hero That Day but we Did.

Don't we all!!!!!!!  Everyone is a unique individual, with unique driving skills and personality.  But they all have a passion for racing.  While we look at the present and future drivers on the track, we will not forget the great ones of the past.  R.I.P. Dale.

Earnhardt belonged to another era of racing.  It was better, purer, more exciting racing, IMHO.  With all of the rules and regulations now, and that wretched COT, we'll probably never see another one like him.

There are a couple of drivers following the Intimidators steps. Kyle Busch and Tony Stewart both come to mind, but good as they both are neither are ready to fill Big E's shoes. Yet.....

I miss all the legends in my era. Rusty Wallace, Dale Jarrett, Bill Elliot, Terry Labonte, Mark Martin (Full time), Big E, Rickey Rudd, Rickey Caven, Ted Musgrave, Alan Kulwicki and Ricky Bobby.

I really hate to say this, but Rowdy does remind me alot of Big E. Harvick and Stewart has his attitude.

In all honesty, the #3 would never be successful  if forced to abide by today's NASCAR 'rules'.  He would be parked way too often.  These days if you use the 'chrome horn' to get around some field filler, they penalize you for "rough driving".

Dale would not be happy with today's NASCAR.

i also miss him but there have been a few more recent drivers that could drive with a very similar style. nascar will not allow his type of driving anymore so we will have to settle for the vanilla ice cream driving of today. we're losing the sport we loved.

There will never be another like him. He raced hard because he had to. He would borrow money from the bank on Friday on a three day note, just to race the weekend. If he didn't win, he couldn't afford to pay back the loan and eat for the next week. He came from nothing. All NASCAR stars are spoiled from birth now. Kyle Busch and Tony Stewart aren't even worthy of being compared to a pimple on Dales rear end. Gone is the way of the true racer.
