  1. Pampass Grass is a NOXIOUS WEED!

  2. its only cold tollerant to zone 7a. it does great along the east coast to cape cod and does really goods along the entire west coast, but in chicago you will have a had time gertting it to grow in the winter

once winter comes you can buy or build a cage around it. then wrap the cage in plastic and cover it tightly.

then put leaves in the cape and make sure the leaves are in tightly. then put some plastic on the top.

with this you will have the plant again the next year.

    OR

you can also hope for a warm winter and if it doesnt go below about 0 it should survive

    IF YOU LOVE PAMPASS GRASS...

their is a pampass grass called

    hardy pampass grass.

this is cold tolleant to zone 5a and can surivive an average chicago winter

  3. dont worry-if its true pompass grass, it will not survive chicago winters. Sorry!
