You might want to read that verse again.

It doesn't say anything about your parents plucking your eyes out.

It says that ravens and eagles will do it.

I suspect that you will be dead, when it happens...

Tell me, do you think that atheists will mind much if, after you die, you get awakened just long enough to find out that God is now going to dispose of your spirit (which is not immortal, btw) by tossing it into His incinerator, aka "The Lake of Fire"? I mean, I doubt if it will take very long for Him to tell you that you are now going to die the second death. The first death was only the death of your body. This time, it will be the final and irrevocable death of your spirit.

I don't know if it will hurt (as in physical pain) when  the angels toss you in there, but I doubt you'll feel it for more than a microsecond, anyhow.

And then, you really will be deadthatsall.

Since that's what atheists expected anyhow, wouldn't it be a bit late in the game to complain about it at that point?

If you mock your parents, they will not look at you the same way and it is clear that you do not look at them in the same way.  Perhaps your eyes won't be plucked out by ravens and eaten by eagles, but they will be plucked out by shame and eaten by disgrace.

You know full well you are joking and would never do what you claim to your parents to their face.  Go ahead and mock your parents to their face and see how they will think of you.  Wipe the hurt of sadness from their face with logic.  Even if you apologize they will NEVER forget that one moment that you mocked them.  They will love you but will never forget.

Dear Friend,

The reason children were stoned, etc. in biblical times is because disobedience was serious.  It should still be serious today.  Kids have no respect for their parents.  

If you lived in the East however, I'm sure they'd enforce discipline where you would prefer to obey than the consequence.

yes, it depends in what stage the children are.

if they are too young and mock at their parents and if parents leave them to fend themselves then definately their life will be like plucked by eagles

and if they are adolecents and mock at their parents

and if they parent leave them definatly their future will be taken away by their bad companies of friends which will be like their eyes are plucked away from truth, and honesty and land up in jails and turn up to be criminals.

dont mock at the word of god, pray and ask god to give wisdom to understand the verse.
