  1. is it an outside unit?  if so see if u can see something that might be obstructing the blades from turning

  2. Did you check the circuit breaker?

  3. if it has an outside compressor unit there should be a breaker panel within sight of the unit make sure this is on and check the main breaker box usually next to the electrical meter this usually contains you high amp breakers check this.

  4. You don't say whether it is a window  or a central unit.

Have you checked the circuit breaker box? As it is a new installation there is a chance that the circuit was not turned on after installation.

If it is a window unit you can also check the circuit breaker box, but also could check the outlet into which it is plugged. This may be a ground fault outlet which might have tripped. If it has there will be a red pop-out button you can press back in to reset.

If you have a central unit be sure the thermostat is set to "cool" and set to a low temperature setting. Some digital controlled thermostats require the installation of batteries to operate. Check to see if yours is one and if batteries are installed.

    Hope this helps.
