  1. yeah im pretty sure u have to take the test again. contact vicroads or whatever stare ur in for more info

    xx

  2. Visit  www.vicroads.com.au  , You will have to pass an oral test, a hazard test and a physical driving test and depending how long you have been driving in your country, you may be issued witha full or P Licence on completion of these three tests, you can also phone 131170 and follow the prompt. Safe motoring

  3. If you have moved here permanently you will need to get a valid license for the state you live in.

Take in your CA license and see if you have to retake the test, you might not. I am from Australia and I moved to the UK for 2 years and I didn't have to take a test for my international drivers license.

  4. Without knowing what state your in its hard to answer. All states have different rules. Are you newly licenced or an older driver?

If your in NSW check out http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au

  5. Welcome to Australia!!  I hope you love living here as much as I do! ;o)

If you've moved to NSW, you will need to get in contact with the Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) within the first 3 months of living here.  You are allowed to use your Californian license in the meantime.

    For the RTA, go to:

    http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/licensing/newt...

If you've moved to Victoria, you will need to get in contact with Vic Roads within the first 3 months of becoming a permanent resident.  You are also allowed to use your Californian license in the meantime.

    For Vic Roads, go to:

    http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/Home/Lice...

Oz is a great country to live in!

  6. heyy welcome to australia!!!

nah you would most probably have to retake a australian driving test to suit Aussie road rules because the road rules in Cali woould be kind of different!!!

  7. Go to the RTA

You will have to do a test again.. First a knowledge test.. and then you might have to go through everything again.

  8. Since your from overseas then you must get one from your state licensing authority immediately.

International DL's are only good for tourists, but you might be able to use it during the first 3 months whilst your arranging to get tested.

If you have a valid MDL from another state, your MDL will be OK for only 3 months. You have 3 months to get one in the state that you moved to.

  9. Generally the rule is you can drive for a period of 6 months (or 3 months in some countries) on your existing license and then you need to convert it over to the countries drivers license, without test.....

In your case as in the US you guys drive on the wrong side of the road...they may make you retake a test.....go and talk to the traffic dept and see what the rules are
