I still have my CA driver's license that I'm planning to keep since I'm probably moving back in 2 years.

  1. 3 things:

1: Most states require you get a license in their state if you reside there for more than 30 days.

2: You'd have to do absentee through California. You aren't a registered voter in Pa.

3: Your car insurance is null and void if you are in an accident where you are at fault and haven't notified the Insurance Co of your address change. Read your policy. This may not apply if you are a full time student in some states.

  2. NO, you'll have to do absentee since you haven't established residency in PA (this requires relinquishing your drivers license from CA and getting a PA drivers license), and even then, I believe you must live in your current precinct for no less than 6 months. BTW, you might be doing yourself a big favor (insurance and license tag charge-wise) by removing yourself from the CA. residency.

  3. Legally you will need a new PA driver's license within 60 days of your move there--it may even be 30 days now...

And once you have that and can prove your residency in PA you would be able to get a voters ID card for Nov 4--if you do it 60 days before the election. Sooooo....you will have to do it all on Sept 2 or 3rd to qualify.

    Good luck.

  4. I just took a huge dump
