Question:

I moved to an apartment and the water is brownish - what does that mean?

Is it literally dirt and do I get sick when drinking it? I did not intend to drink it anyway, but that would give me reason enough for an emergency adjustment made by management, right?

Thanks

  1. Brown water out of the tap normally means your hot water heater has rusted.  This would mean it would be time for a new heater.

  2. where is the brown water? coming out of all faucets or just some?

    It could be rust

  3. That's a reason to call management IMMEDIATELY.  Don't drink it, bathe with it, anything.  And you should get some sort of credit for every day you are without usable water.

  4. i dont think you will get an adj. the apt. has probably been setting empty for a while.

either way you need to call the ofc.&tell them what is going on.ask for maint. to come &have alook at it. it could be a main leak & they dont know about it.so be4 you ask for an "adj",see if they even know whats going on.
