Ok so my throat is sore and im coughing here and there. I volunteer at a children's hospital and im suppose to let them know if i am sick or whatever. I did but the issue is would this affect my reputation or my chance of gettin accepted again as a volunteer? my partner is not coming in today because he has an exam tomorow and he had taken the days off last week and contacted administration about it. Should i get a doctor's note?

  1. If you have a sore throat, I would go to the hospital and ask to be checked out to be sure that you dont have 'strep throat'!!  If you do, then they would be more than happy to give you time off as its very contagious!

No, being sick, (as long as your not chronic is not a reason for dismissal or a bad mark against you.

Only 'you' can ruin your reputation, by being tardy, lazy, or a slacker... Its all in your hands.  If you are a hard worker, a go getter, and someone they can depend on, then you will have a great reputation!  (Dont worry about people calling you a 'brown nose' or 'pet' or other nick names, then you know its those who call you that, who are the slackers and your making them look bad in front of management and they dont like that at all...but, dont let it worry you, just keep on doing good work and management will notice you!).

May the LORD be with you.

    I wish you well...

    Jesse
