I ned help w/traveling?

Question

I live in southern minnesota and im going to move to england soon with my BEST friend... what do i need to achieve that and what are the costs??

(passports, tickets, etc.)

This is Australia, we do things differently.

You will need a passport with at least 6months remaining after the planned return date. It may be easier to seek a travel agents advice, see what prices they offer then look them up on the net yourself and book the cheapest.

umm, in england you have to send off to get your passport..not sure how its done over there though :)

As an American citizen, you cannot just "move" to England.  You can visit in the United Kingdom for up to 6 months without a visa, but NOT work or reside there.  In order to do that , you will need a work visa,or need to apply to immigrate. It is almost impossible to do this as ALL other European citizens are ahead of Americans.  You cannot get a work visa withour first finding an employer to sponsor you and you must have a highly skilled  talent, higher education, to have a chance at that.  England is awash with immigrants and does NOT need workers or immigrants...so it is NOT easy.  You may  read "Entry requirements at the site below and use the link there to go to the embassy website and research visa requirements.  If you show up in England without the appropriate visa and try to work, you will not be able to do so and will be subject to deportation.  Sorry to be discouraging, but these are the facts. The same is true for people from the U.K.who want to live in the U.S.  To travel to the U.K. to visit , you will need a pssport, which costs $100.00.   See 2nd site for all passport pplication info.
