I need 2 learn MECHANICS by december!!!!! PLZ HELP?

Im 13 n my dad says hes willing to buy me a car so i can fix it up.But on 1 condition which is 2 learn about the motor like the engine,suspensions,brakes, ect...I need help, some 1 got any sites or something.

Google.com look it up all start with names of engine components..... its a very long and strenuous road to learn it all good luck

its how i learned, i'm 14 and people around my town bring their car to me for tune ups. i also regularly get asked to do major engine work(valve jobs, timing chain/ belts, even rebuilds).

Go to the boy scout store and buy the merit badge book on "auto repair" merit badge.  Costs about $4 or so, and packed with info.  Read the whole thing.  Then, get yourself a shop manual for your dad's car.  Read that whole thing too.  It's pretty interesting reading.

well theres no real website to learn this since you really need to see it or do it yourself its best if you start learning about the car you want and do research on just that car otherwise it would  be information overload... so check out forums that are for your vehicle
