I have to come up with 3 basic ideas for biomedical engineering project. Actually I already though up of 1 so only two more to go.

To narrow it down it pretty much has to be something with digitizing signals. At my school we have pretty much only focused on electronics dealing with medical equipment. My focus is not in likes of artificial organs or synthetic blood. Also I don't know much about robotics either.

Try to think more towards ECG and EEG machines

You don't have to go too much into the details. Here my first idea:

1. Controlling things with your mind- Her's how it works.

Your brain produces waveforms. You take an EEG to read those waveforms. Find which thoughts produce the strongest signals and use those for some sort of look up table. So whenever you think of a specific thought the waveform will control something like a LED light by taking those waveforms and digitizing them. Very possible

I just need two more ideas

  1. Maybe something that uses ultrasound to measure blood velocities. It's very signal oriented and you could create something that looks for a pressure/velocity drop that would indicate a clot and administer a drug that blocks the beta receptors on vaso-constrictors such as Aspirin immediately.

You could also work on light and sound signals for the blind and deaf and convert the signals sending them directly to their correct cortexes. You would need to have base data to view correct conversions to compare to your experiment.
