I need A birth certificate..?

so I can find out more about my grandparents ....I have a marriage certificate ....age and date they were married .and the first name of my ggrandfather....how can I possibly get a birth certificate with so little information....especially with the name Evans ..and from wales...

  1. Date of marriage and one surname is all you need.

    Either apply to the registry office where the marriage took place or apply to Somerset House (England) or Scottish Registry Office (Scotland)


  2. UK answer.

    If you can find the volume and page numbers from the BMD index on www.ancestry.co.uk you can order any certificate on there going back as far as 1st July 1837, right through to the 31st December 2005.
