I need AFL dream team players that don't break down, help?

Question

This year i've been playing with 3 or 4 players missing a week. Everytime i choose a replacement, they get injured. Since this AFL dream team game started i've always made it to the top 3 in my league and lost 2 grand finals in my league. So i'm not 2 bad a choosing a team. This year is my worst so far. "Blitzkrieg 08" is on the wrong end of the Blitz.

My Team -

Backs - H Shaw, Bradshaw, Birchall, Mackie, Roughhead, Gram, Chaplin

Midfield - C Cornes, K Cornes, S Burgoyne, Bartel, Byrnes, Coughlan

Rucks - Lade, W Minson

Forwards - Franklin, Medhurst, Chapman, Deledio, Westhoff, Tippet, Jetta

I will get rid of Byrnes & Coughlan, i need good players who won't breakdown and are in good form. I've got 15 trades left & &14,800 salary cap. All help appreciated. I scored 1709 with 3 players missing this week and lost. HELP!

More often than not the midfield is what is going to get you the bulk of your points so I think you need to really improve your midfield.

Consider consistent players such as Brent Harvey, Sam Mitchell or Simon Goodwin.

But I think your biggest weakness is your forward line, it's an absolute shocker. All bar Franklin, you don't have players that are going to dominate most weeks.

I think that you should scrap the small forwards and consider players such as Riewoldt or cheap players such as Tredrea or Thompson who are consistently getting in the 80-100 range.

Very bad idea on not spending money on emergencies that are not going to get a game. The key part of DT is to pick bench players that will play so you can downgrade them later on after they have gone up in value. But I guess it is too late now.

Players you need to get rid off

Gram, Chaplin, Byrnes, Coughlan, Minson

Players you should look out for      Palmer, Simmonds, Osbourne, Thornton, Masten.

get rid of gram... i made the same mistake picking him up, he is shocking, u shoulda picked up c cornes is the back so you could get another middy but too bad. u need some young guns. look who is out there that has played 2-3 games with a decent ave, pick them up for 100k or less.

Try n get symmons, white or cox in the ruck, which ever is more affordable.  All will score you over 100 a week or close to it.

Deledio, Westhoff, Tippet, Jetta - between them they will get like 150 pts.  Look at hill, poplezia, reiwalt, gamble, hawkins rioli... there r heaps out there to choose from.. some that were 83,000 that r scoring over 70 each week. You need the young guns to get you some $$ to buy the better players.

My team is scoring mid 1900's a week and I'm only tradding up, picked up riewalt this week. Could get me an extra 50 pts from the forward line to break 2000 this early in the season, things are looking good.

Do abit more research on young players, thats y you have a bench. Try and use it.

ok, your rucks look ordinary to me, lade is good, minson is a battler there are better choices if you have a look.

i havent had full side either, very annoying, i want to keep some trades but i keep playing with 3 short, i would trade coggs, he is injured again, cannot possibly play seniors till round 14-15 at my guess, fitness and match practice will be needed, hammy slight tear or something.

when do we meet in the head to head, that isn't goin to well for me, but the total points ladder is where i want to be top of mainly.

you need to get rid of 3 forwards too, you know which ones.

blitzkreig is dropping duds mate, no power in them bombs.

Don't take Rompers advice, he's going to finish below me, comes down to round 18 Romps you need a win to get into the finals but you're up against the best, bad luck I knocked you out, cheer up the Tigers are doing better this year, Hackham Hacks.

jetta's gone for a couple.

coughlan's gone for ages.

so get rid of them.

byrnes isnt really a ball winner either.

masten and palmer would be good in the midfield.

a good buy up forward is josh hill.

but i doubt you'll be able to afford him.

jonathon brown's gone down a lot.

maybe you could consider getting him?

he's bound to find some form sooner or later.

kelvin moore down back is really good :)
