  1. Question 1

    (h + 50)(h -2)

    Question 2

    (a -20)(a +3)

  2. Okay, this is actually a pretty easy one. I'll try not to make it complicated because I tend to do that. Since the first value is 1 multiply it with the last value. Factor the number you get so that it will equal a subtraction problem equaling the second number. Factor the variable (easy as pie when its a^2, since is a*a) and factor in the other numbers accordingly.

    Steps:

    h^2 + 48h - 100

(the value of first h times 100)

    so 1*100= 100

(what can you multiply that equals 100 but subtracts to equal 48?)

    50*2=100 ; and also 50-2=48

    (h+50) (h-2) is the answer!

    a2 -17a -60

(value of a times 60, factor 60 so that it subtracts to equal 17)

not only does this work! 3*20=60; but also this! 20-3=17

    then you factor.

    (a-20) (a+3) is the answer!

It would be so much easier for me to show you on paper lol!
