I need HELP! Volleyball!!?

ok u guys i need help. im trying out for the 7th grade middle school team and i dont know a thing about volleyball except like i played it a couple times. do u guys know anything or any websites i could go to for like knowing the basics and how to do it and how should i prep for it or drills and everything else??

  1. You have it backward. You don't join a team at your level BECAUSE you're already an expert at it. You join to learn about it. A good coach at that level will teach you everything you'll need to learn.

    As far as how to prep for it, build those legs because you're going to spend most of your time squatted down and exploding up. In fact, that's probably the simplest exercise I could tell you; go find a VB net set up somewhere and just squat down and explode up as high as you can. Sound goofy? Do it in sets of 10 with 60 seconds of rest between sets, for a total of 100 reps and tell me how goofy it sounds.

    Otherwise, your coach will teach you all you'll need to know about footwork, technique and strategies.

    Most importantly, have fun with it.

  3. 7th grade is the perfect time to learn. Join the team, and your coach will probably be teaching the basics of the game and you will learn the best as you play. Youre coach will be able to help you the best, as he/she will be able to correct your form. Volleyball is a team sport, so you need to practice and work out with your team.

  4. practice peppering with a friend

    peppering is standing 3 4 feet apart and bumping or passing then setting then spiking the ball diggin or passing setting spike keep this up for as long as you can it helps improve ball control
