  1. Oceanography (from the greek words Ωκεανός meaning Ocean and γράφω meaning to write), also called oceanology or marine science, is the branch of Earth Sciences that studies the Earth's oceans and seas. It covers a wide range of topics, including marine organisms and ecosystem dynamics; ocean currents, waves, and geophysical fluid dynamics; plate tectonics and the geology of the sea floor; and fluxes of various chemical substances and physical properties within the ocean and across its boundaries. These diverse topics reflect multiple disciplines that oceanographers blend to further knowledge of the world ocean and understanding of processes within it: biology, chemistry, geology, meteorology, and physics.

Geology (from Greek: γη, gê, "earth"; and λόγος, logos, "speech" lit. to talk about the earth) is the science and study of the solid matter that constitutes the Earth.

Astronomy (from the Greek words astron (ἄστρον) "star" and nomos (νόμος) "law") is the scientific study of celestial objects (such as stars, planets, comets, and galaxies) and phenomena that originate outside the Earth's atmosphere (such as the cosmic background radiation). It is concerned with the evolution, physics, chemistry, meteorology, and motion of celestial objects, as well as the formation and development of the universe.

Meteorology (from Greek: μετέωρον, metéōron, "high in the sky"; and λόγος, lógos, "knowledge") is the interdisciplinary scientific study of the atmosphere that focuses on weather processes and forecasting (in contrast with climatology).

  2. You can easily use a search engine such as google.com or even yahoo.com and type in "oceanography," "geology," etc.  Try typing in more specifics like "history of meteorology" or "famous geologists."

Definitely in the subject of oceanography, Jacque Cousteau would be a famous person to find facts about.  I don't want to give away everything.  :-)  Good luck!

  3. Just Google the topic like "Astronomy facts" and be done with it, not hard at all.

  4. Just wiki it!

  5. Dude, homework at 11:30 PM on a Sunday? tut-tut.
